CJ graduated from Southern Illinois University Carbondale Law School after serving as the treasurer and vice president of the Student Bar Association. Immediately after graduation, CJ went to work with his Uncle Grey; both lifelong St. Clair county residents, the pair founded Chatham & Baricevic, LLC, focusing on the needs of working people, injured both at and off work, economically and otherwise.
Since the founding of the firm, CJ has assisted his clients in securing successful settlements and verdicts, at trial and prior to it. CJ has served as a public defender, a plaintiff’s litigant, the civil advocate for municipalities throughout the St. Louis area, a labor lawyer for unions across southwestern Illinois and in St. Louis, and named counsel for class action cases.
CJ’s successful caseload covers a breadth of legal action, including 10 figure settlements, successful trial verdicts, and numerous mediation and arbitration victories.
When not working, CJ remains devastatingly handsome and active in his community, serving on the St. Clair County Board, assisting various labor related causes, and was his party’s candidate for the United States House of Representatives.
